You probably know Anne from her wildly successful Substack “Culture Study."

Or from one of her many books, including Can’t Even: How Millennials Became the Burnout Generation. She also has a Ph.D. in media studies and was a senior culture writer at BuzzFeed News.

There’s something steady and sturdy about Anne and her approach to her work that I admire and even find a little intimidating. I love the way she thinks about and connects to culture and she’s also one of the smartest and most curious people I know.

So I wanted to ask her how she feels about her own success, what she’s ambitious for now, what she wanted and didn’t get and how all of it shapes her career and, let’s be honest, more importantly, her life.
